Introduction

Analog Research & Design LLC ("Analog Designs," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and handles personal information with care.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, purchase or use our software, subscribe to communications, or contact us. It also describes how our payment processor, Stripe, handles information in connection with a purchase. Data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), apply where their requirements cover our processing.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide to us, including your name, email address, billing contact details, newsletter preferences, and the contents of support or other communications.

When you make a purchase, we receive transaction information from Stripe. Depending on the checkout configuration and payment method, this may include the product purchased, amount, currency, date, order or receipt identifier, payment status, billing details, applicable tax information, and limited payment-method details such as the card brand and last four digits. We do not receive or store your full card number, bank-account credentials, or card security code.

We and our service providers may also receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and standard server logs, to operate and secure the Website. If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics, we will provide any notice and choices required by applicable law.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  1. Process, fulfill, document, and support purchases.
  2. Deliver licenses, downloads, updates, and service messages.
  3. Authenticate payments, prevent fraud, address disputes, and administer refunds.
  4. Respond to questions and provide customer support.
  5. Operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve our services.
  6. Comply with accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and payment network obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent, depending on the activity.

Newsletter

We use Mailchimp as our platform for sending newsletters. When you subscribe to our newsletter, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing. The newsletters are designed to provide you with valuable updates, tips, and special offers. You have the right to unsubscribe at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link in our emails.

Payment Processing

Analog Designs is the seller and licensor of its products. Stripe and its affiliates process payments on our behalf. When you begin or complete a purchase, Stripe may collect transaction data directly from you, including your contact and billing details, payment credentials, purchase details, IP address, device and browser data, and fraud-prevention information. Stripe may collect information entered in its checkout interface even if you do not complete the transaction.

Stripe uses this information to process and authenticate payments, prevent fraud and loss, handle refunds and disputes, comply with law and financial-network rules, secure its services, and provide and improve payment services. Stripe may act as our service provider for some processing and as an independent controller for other purposes. It may share transaction data with us and with banks, card networks, payment-method providers, and other financial partners involved in the transaction.

Stripe's handling of personal information is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy. If you choose an optional Stripe consumer service such as Link, that service is also governed by Stripe's Consumer Terms. Contact Analog Designs—not Stripe—for questions about our products, fulfillment, support, or refund eligibility.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate our business and provide our services, including to Stripe and participating financial institutions for payment processing; to Mailchimp for newsletters you request; and to vendors that provide hosting, email delivery, security, customer support, accounting, or professional services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent. Service providers are permitted to process information for the services they provide, subject to their contracts and applicable law.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Stripe handles payment credentials through its payment infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including fulfillment, support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by the type of information and applicable requirements. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer need it, subject to records needed to honor your preference.

Your Rights

Your privacy is your right.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to appeal our response or complain to a data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Contact us at support@analogdesigns.io to make a request concerning information controlled by Analog Designs. We may need to verify your identity. For information Stripe controls for its own purposes, review the Stripe Privacy Policy and contact Stripe through the methods listed there.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised Policy with a new "Last updated" date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
